The wax figure is a copy of Kareena’s look from the song “Mauja Hi Mauja” from director Imtiaz Ali’s blockbuster movie Jab We Met.

Kareena Kapoor was accompanied by her mom Babita at the unveiling of the statue. She also launched the museum’s global Bollywood exhibition.

“It is an honour and a privilege to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds, and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for Indian cinema,” Kareena told in a statement.

The figure is said to have been sculpted at a cost of 150,000 pounds.

“The figure looks incredible and is so life-like, I did a double take when I saw it myself. They have really done a superb job of capturing my essence,” Kareena said.

Other Bollywood stars whose wax statues are in the museum are Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai

Shahrukh Khan's movie "Ra One" turns a profit in three days

MUMBAI: Ra.One, Bollywood King Khan's expensive sci-fi flick, has changes in a profit just three days after release, the head of the production company told on Friday. 

Kishore Lulla, the CEO of Eros International, who produced the movie, said that Ra.One has broken all box office records for Diwali so far. "I am already into profit ," Lulla said. Shah Rukh Khan's riskiest and most expensive film so far opened on Diwali, Wednesday amidst much expectation about its box office numbers and how it will stack up against rival Salman Khan's Bodyguard, a huge hit when it was released a few months ago. 

Bodyguard collected Rs 21.5 crore in the first day, a record number. Lulla says that RA.One made a net collection of Rs 18.5 crore on the first day, and Rs 25 crore on the second day. Gross (excluding entertainment tax) two-day collections were Rs 67 crore. RA.One's first day collections led many to believe that the movie had underperformed expectations. 

Bollywood trade figures on Friday are also a shade lower than Lulla with many saying that first day collections were Rs 15.5 crore while the second day was Rs 22-23 crore. But Lulla poo-poohs such comments saying that the movie has set a new record for Diwali with first day collections of Rs 18.5 crore, much higher than Golmal 3, which netted Rs 8.5 crore.  

Lulla says that his firm will still end up with 53-55% share of the revenue after the multiplex operators and single-screen theatre owners take their share.  

Salman changes 'Ek Tha Tiger' release date for Aamir

Salman Khan can do anything for his best friend Aamir Khan and the example of this is that he has changed the release date of his next release, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ for Aamir's sake. The release date of Aamir Khan starrer and Reena Kagti’s film, ‘Dhuaan’ was colliding with Salman’s film and therefore Aamir requested Salman to postpone the release date of his film.

Salman Khan agreed and he went to Yash Raj office and requested Aditya Chopra to change the release date of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Aditya accepted his request and now Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ will release on Eid next year.

This is not for the first time that the release date of ‘Dhuaan’ was changed. Before this, it was decided to release on 26^th January but Aamir felt that the it will take some time post-production and therefore he postponed it and moreover, Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ will also release on 26^th January and AAmir felt it would not be good to clash with ‘Agneepath’.

Now, ‘Dhuaan’ will release on June 12,2012

Akshay Khanna injured while shooting

Akshaye Khanna got injured in Bhopal while shooting for his next 'Gaali Gaali Mein Shor Hai'.

Akshaye was in Bhopal for a twenty days shooting schedule and in one of the shoot he was suppose to be on a cycle rickshaw. He slipped and had a fall, the injury turned to be a serious one and he is advised for a strict bed rest to give relief to his back which got affected seriously.

Akshay injury has spoiled plans of director Rumi Jaffery who had planned a 50 day marathon but the unit was forced to come back to Mumbai due to Akshay injury. Producer of the movie is Nitin Manmohan.

According to the latest news,hot and stunning Priyanka Chopra will star in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race 2’ which is going to be produced by Ramesh Tarauni. At first, Deepika Padukone was considered for the role but the actress did not sign it due to some unknown reason. Now the makers shifted their choice to Priyanka Chopra who has done some good actions in her previous films.

The source said, "The producers of the film have already spoken to Priyanka, who is sorting out her dates. After the success of Race, the writers of the film and Abbas-Mustan took their time before finalising the sequel. Abbas-Mustan were sure that they would only start the film, if they got the right script. Now, the makers are awaiting Priyanka to officially come on-board."

From the original Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor has been kept. In the sequel to 'Race 2’, we will get to see some new faces like John Abraham in negative role, Sonakshi Sinha and Priyanka as the second lead actresses. ‘Race 2’ promises to be more action, more thrill and more twists and turns.

Nihita Biswas out of Big Boss 5

Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of Charles Sobhraj, became the first contestant to be evicted from the Big Boss house yesterday.

At 22 years of age, she was the youngest contestant in the house and lost to model-VJ Pooja Mishra.

In her first week itself, Nihita had a querrel with fellow contestant Shraddha Sharma. Nihita told that the decision to evict her was unfair and biased.

"The eviction was very unfair. They gave out a hurried decision. I was not given an opportunity to prove myself. People never got to know the real Nihita. They couldn't understand me," she told.

Nihita shot to fame three years ago when she married Sobhraj in a Kathmandu prison claiming she had fallen in love with him.

Jagjit Singh Died in Mumbai

Famous singer Jagjit Singh, known as much for his ghazals and bhajans as for his work in Indian Cinema, died on Monday in Lilavati Hospital at Mumbai, after a brain haemorrhage.He was admitted to hospital on 23rd september. He was 70 years old.

John to romance with Vidya in "Force 2"

After the recent hit of John Abraham's ‘Force’, director Vipul Shah has not only planned to make a sequel to the film but also decided to revive the on-screen romance of John Abraham and Vidya Balan. John and Vidya’s on screen chemistry was very much talked about in Nikhil Advani’s ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ way back in 2007 and now Vipul Shah wants to revive their romance in ‘Force 2’.

The source told, “Vipul wants the film to be bigger than ‘Force’ and so, he has finalised Vidya Balan to play the lead role. He has also decided to keep the film’s origional director Nishikant Kamath for the sequel.

Nishikant already had an idea, which he developed during the making of ‘Force.’ Since the original film has been the biggest opening of any John Abraham starrer, the filmmakers have decided to title it ‘Force 2.’”

In "Salam e Ishq", John and Vidya’s on-screen chemistry sparked so bright that it became a big concern for John’s ex-flame Bipasha Basu then and she warned John to cut all ties from Vidya.

When contacted, Vipul said, “Yes, we are extremely happy with the success of ‘Force’ at the Box Office. I am keen to start the sequel with John as soon as possible. The story is a completely new adventure, with a new villain, who John will have to go head-to-head with.”
